I wish I could say I was the kind of child who watched the moon from her window, would turn toward it and wonder. I never wondered. I read. Dark signs that crawled toward the edge of the page. It took me years to grow a heart from paper and glue. All I had was a flashlight, bright as the moon, a white hole blazing beneath the sheets. (Dorianne Laux)

I am interested in art, A Song of Ice and Fire, being nice, books, food, interior and urban design, making friends, math, poetry, rabbits, random musings of hemi/semi/demi intelligence and squeeing.

I write ASOIAF fanfiction for the Sansa Stark/Sandor Clegane pairing under kimberlite8

Disney has put up all of the Gargoyles episodes online. I HIGHLY recommend you watch them here —> http://video.disney.com/shows/gargoyles-4ba34a5545c1259e961b9666

For those of you who want to rewatch the series.

Sadly, not all the episodes. 64 out of 78. Still quite a few, though, with wonderful quality.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! *freaks out*
And it’s okay, everything 66+ was garbage anyway.

A lot of good episodes are missing, including all of the Avalon World Tour. I just watch them on youtube but wish I could get them on DVD.  Its a shame they won’t release Season 2 Vol 2 on DVD, almost 100 reviews demanding a product that Disney thinks isn’t marketable. Action is needed!

Last week, I photographed a young girl on a bicycle. She told me that she planned to be an artist, because she’d been to an art museum, and “her scribbles look just like modern art.” For some reason I didn’t immediately put her picture on the blog. Which turned out to be a good thing, because I just ran into her again on the subway, looking like this.

Are these the kinds of idolizing influences that lead to Paris Syndrome?

Paris syndrome (French: Syndrome de Paris, Japanese: パリ症候群, Pari shōkōgun) is a transient psychological disorder encountered by some individuals visiting or vacationing in Paris, France. It is characterized by a number of psychiatric symptoms such as acute delusional states, hallucinations, feelings of persecution (perceptions of being a victim of prejudice, aggression, or hostility from others), derealization, depersonalization, anxiety, and also psychosomatic manifestations such as dizziness, tachycardia, sweating, and others.
The susceptibility of Japanese people may be linked to the popularity of Paris in Japanese culture, notably the idealized image of Paris prevalent in Japanese advertising.

This makes my tummy feel strangely tingly. Now I know how the elder mothers of slash felt.

Indeed, my friend… indeed.
